Joe Don Baker (born February 12, 1936 in Groesback , Texas ) is an American actor .

Life

Baker is best known for his appearances in various James Bond films. Baker has been in the film business since the 1960s and played, among other things, the title role in the series Eischied (English title: New York location ), which was broadcast in the early 1980s. Because of his appearance - Baker is over 6 feet tall and sturdy - he was often cast for the roles of gangsters or police officers.

Baker is the second male actor to portray both an adversary and an ally of James Bond in the form of two different characters. Charles Gray had previously played an ally and a villain in James Bond 007 - You Only Live Twice and Diamond Fever .
