Johann Gottlieb Rambatz (carpenter)

Johann Gottlieb Rambatz (born August 1, 1800 in Hamburg ; † April 14, 1875 there ) was a German master carpenter .

Life

Rambatz was a son of the Hamburg master blacksmith Johann Gottlieb Rambatz of the same name .

He served in the Hamburg citizen military . In 1824 Rambatz became third lieutenant , in 1826 second lieutenant, in 1829 first lieutenant and in 1834 captain and chief of the 1st company of the 6th battalion . He was adopted in May 1836.

Rambatz was appointed master carpenter of St. Michaeliskirche in September 1837 and remained so until he gave up his business in 1858. From November 1848 to the end of 1865 he was council carpenter of the St. Michaeliskirchspiel. Rambatz acted from 1855 to 1865 as a senior man in the office of house carpenters, in this capacity he was a member of the district court from 1858 to 1862 .

In 1831 he was involved as a member of the special health commission that was convened on the occasion of the cholera epidemic in Hamburg. From 1834 Rambatz was a tax valuer of the fire fund and in 1869 and 1870 belonged to the municipal settlement authority for traders.

Rambatz was elected to replace the Constituent Assembly in 1848, but not called up. From 1861 to 1865 he was a member of the Hamburg Parliament .
