Johann Philipp Högl

Johann Philipp Högl (born August 25, 1755 in Vienna ; † 1805 there ) was a Viennese city stonemason, chief judge in Roßau and, in 1797, head of the Viennese building works .

Life

Johann Philipp was the son of the master stonemason Georg Andreas Högl and Franziska, previously a widow after the Viennese master stonemason Michael Waltner with the Roßau catchment area. The father came from Eggenburg , the most important stonemason center in Lower Austria . His grandfather, the master stonemason Johann Gallus Högl , once moved from Gemünden am Main in Franconia to the Eggenburg Brotherhood's quarter drawer. The memory of him had faded, Master Gallus died in 1719.
