Johann the devil

Johann Teufel ( December 12, 1896 in Vienna - June 16, 1943 there ) was an Austrian carpenter's assistant and resistance fighter against National Socialism .

Life and execution

Teufel was a carpenter's assistant at Steyr Daimler Puch and a member of the KPÖ . In September 1941 he was arrested for his work for the KPÖ and sentenced to death by the People's Court on November 21, 1942 for “preparing for high treason ”. Johann devil was on 16 June 1943 in the Regional Court of Vienna with the guillotine executed.

  1. Since only one man named Teufel is listed in the list of resistance fighters beheaded at the Vienna Regional Court , it can only be a mistake, especially since the provenance of the Wall is secured by the naming of Johann-Teufel-Gasse. See Post-War Justice , accessed June 5, 2015
