Johann Weber (politician, 1965)
Johann Weber (born May 9, 1965 in Wolfsberg , Carinthia ) is an Austrian politician of the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP). From April 2018 to October 2019 he was a member of the Carinthian state parliament and has been a member of the National Council since October 23, 2019 .
Life
After primary school in St. Margarethen and secondary school in Wolfsberg, Johann Weber attended the HBLA Raumberg, where he graduated in 1986 . Following his military service , he graduated from the Agricultural Education Academy in Ober St. Veit in 1987/88. From 1988 to 1992 he worked for the Chamber of Agriculture of Carinthia, after which he taught at the Agricultural Technical School / Agricultural Trade Academy in Althofen until 1998 . Since 1998 he has been teaching plant cultivation / grassland, political education, metalworking, forestry practice as well as exercise and sport at the agricultural college in St. Andrä.
politics
Johann Weber was a member of the municipal council of Wolfsberg in 2003/04, where he also served as a councilor in 2004. Since the municipal council and mayoral elections in Carinthia in 2015 , he has been a member of the Wolfsberg municipal council again. In June 2017 he was elected ÖVP district party chairman in the Wolfsberg district.
On 12 April 2018 he was in the inaugural parliament session of the 32nd legislative period as a Member of the Carinthian parliament sworn in , where he served on the committee for citizen participation, direct democracy and petitions (BDP) and the Committee of Culture, Sports and Europe (CFE). He replaced Martin Gruber , who moved to the state government of Kaiser II as a regional councilor .
After the parliamentary elections in 2019 , he moved to October 23, 2019 in the National Council , his seat in Parliament went to Hannes Mak .
