Johann von Ahlefeldt (* 1399 ; † June 1463 ) was a privy councilor and lord of Gut Lehmkuhlen, Wittmold and main believer of King Christian I of Denmark, Norway and Sweden .

Life

He was the son of the noble landlord Klaus von Ahlefeldt († 1404), lord of Seegaard near Kliplev , and his wife Anna (* 1365). His wife was Anna (* 1410) geb. von Wiltberg and his sons were Benedikt and Claus von Ahlefeldt . Johann von Ahlefeldt was from 1418 to 1428 squire and was in the 1432 knighthood raised. In 1437 he signed Count Gerhard VII von Holstein pledging the island of Fehmarn to Lübeck . From 1438 he was one of the four Secret Councilors of Duke Adolf VIII of Holstein . From 1449 to 1463 he was bailiff of the Cistercian monastery in Itzehoe . In 1460 he became the main creditor of King Christian I of Denmark, Norway and Sweden and took from him the island of fürrø for 5000 and the city with Bailiwick of Sønderborg and the castle for 8000 Sundian marks as pledge .
