Johanna Lichy

Johanna Maria Lichy (born May 8, 1949 in Kirchhausen ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

After graduating from the Albert-Schweitzer-Gymnasium in Neckarsulm in 1968 , she studied German and English at the University of Heidelberg , and later history and political science.

Lichy began her political career in 1975 as a councilor in the Heilbronn municipal council, where she was chairwoman of the CDU parliamentary group from 1993 to 1996. From 1997 to 2006 she was chairwoman of the CDU city association Heilbronn, since 2005 she has been the deputy chairwoman of the CDU district association Heilbronn.

In 1996 she was elected to the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg . She achieved her first mandate in the Heilbronn state electoral district as the successor to the SPD MP Dieter Spöri . In the same year she became State Secretary in the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs in Baden-Württemberg and at the same time women's representative for the state government. She held the office until June 14, 2006. Her successor was Dieter Hillebrand . She was a member of the Broadcasting Council of the Südwestrundfunk .

In the 2001 and 2006 state elections, she was able to defend her mandate. In the state elections in 2011 she did not run again. Her successor as the directly elected member of the Heilbronn constituency was the CDU candidate Alexander Throm .

Lichy is married and has two sons.

Awards

In 2003 Johanna Lichy was awarded the Cross of Merit on Ribbon of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany . In 2014 she received the Ring of Honor of the City of Heilbronn .
