Johannes Biermans
Johannes Biermans MHM (born November 8, 1871 in Westerhoven , Netherlands ; † January 24, 1941 ) was a Dutch Roman Catholic religious and superior general of the Mission Society of St. Joseph of Mill Hill .
Life
Johannes Biermans joined the religious order of the Mission Society of St. Joseph of Mill Hill for and received on 25 July 1896 the Archbishop of Westminster , Herbert Cardinal Vaughan , the sacrament of Holy Orders .
On 24 April 1912 appointed him Pope Pius X to the titular bishop of Gargara and Apostolic Vicar of Nilo Superiore . The Vicar Apostolic of North Victoria Nyanza , Henri Streicher MAfr , donated him episcopal ordination on September 1 of the same year ; Co-consecrator was the Vicar Apostolic of Kenya , Filippo Perlo IMC .
Johannes Biermans became Superior General of the Mission Society of St. Joseph of Mill Hill. In 1934 he resigned from this office.
