Johannes Müller (painter, 1935)

Johannes Müller (born April 13, 1935 in Endschütz ; † June 14, 2012 in Kossow ) was a German painter .

Life

From 1953 to 1958 Müller studied painting with Rudolf Bergander and Erich Fraaß at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts . Study trips to Bulgaria followed. From 1958 Johannes Müller lived in Rostock .

In 1960 study trips to China , Vietnam , Austria and the Soviet Union began . Among other things, he headed the district promotion class for painting as well as the management of the painting circle at the University of Rostock. Since 1990 he lived and worked in Kossow, a district of Wardow , south of Rostock. Müller made further study trips to Florence , Ravenna , Ferrara , Rome , Athens , Catalonia , Paris , London , Vienna , Copenhagen and Strasbourg .

Müller died after a long illness on the night of June 14th to 15th, 2012.

Honors

In 1995 Johannes Müller received the Rostock City Culture Prize.
