Johannes Martin Schupp

Johannes Martin Schupp ( pseudonym : Johannes Martius ) (born October 5, 1883 in Groß Flottbek ; † February 3, 1947 in Hamburg-Groß Flottbek ) was a German writer .

Life

Schupp attended the private secondary school of Dr. W. Lange and the secondary school at Holstentor in Hamburg . From 1903 he studied history and economics in Jena , Berlin , Strasbourg and Kiel , among others with Otto Binswanger , Rudolf Eucken , Karl Volkmar Stoy and Friedrich Paulsen . During his studies he became a member of the Teutonia Jena fraternity in 1903 , from which he resigned in 1907 and was reinstated in 1922. In 1908 he was awarded a Dr. phil. PhD .

From 1909 to 1911 Schupp worked as an assistant at the Halle an der Saale Chamber of Commerce. 1911–1913 he was employed as a lawyer at the construction employers' association in West Prussia. From 1914 to 1916 he was editor of the Rheinisch-Westfälische Zeitung . Schupp was a soldier in 1917/18. From 1918 he worked for Allgemeine Anzeige GmbH (Ala GmbH), from 1920 to 1927 as director and board member of Ala. In 1937 he became a member of the NSDAP (membership number: 5,322,742).

After Schupp had lived in Neubabelsberg for a long time , he moved back to Hamburg-Flottbek in 1939, where he worked as a writer.
