John Peder Ditlev-Simonsen (born October 18, 1898 in Dypvåg , † January 10, 2001 in Oslo ) was a Norwegian sailor .

John Ditlev-Simonsen, who for the Kongelig Norsk Seilforening sailed, took in 1936 at the Olympic Games in Berlin in the 8-meter class part. He was a crew member of the Silja under skipper and brother Olaf Ditlev-Simonsen , the in Olympia Düsternbrook in Kiel held Regatta finished in second place. At first, the Silja and the Germania III from Germany had achieved 53 total points, in the jump-off for second place behind the Olympic champions from Italy, they finally prevailed against their German competitors.
