John Herzfeld

John Herzfeld is an American director .

biography

The director, producer and screenwriter John Herzfeld began his career as an actor after studying at the universities of Memphis and Miami .

He got his first roles in the television thriller "Lieutenant Schuster's Wife" (1972) and in Paul Bartel's over-the-top comedy "Cannonball" (1976), in which David Carradine played the leading role.

In an episode of the crime series " Starsky & Hutch " (1978) he played Starsky's brother. After that, Herzfeld had appearances in several television productions and alongside Sylvester Stallone in George P. Cosmatos' actioner "The City Cobra" (1986).

Herzfeld has been working as a screenwriter for film and television since 1979. He wrote the scripts for Robert Markowitz's critically acclaimed drama "Voices of Love" (1979, with Amy Irving ), Daryl Duke's "Hard Feelings" (1982) and "Two of the Same Kind" (1983) with John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John . The latter feature film was also his first directorial work.
