John Joseph McMahon (born September 27, 1875 in Hinsdale , New York , USA , † December 31, 1932 in Trenton , New Jersey ) was Bishop of Trenton .

Life

John Joseph McMahon studied philosophy at St. Bonaventure's College in Allegany and Catholic theology at the Pontifical Urban University in Rome . On May 20, 1900, he received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Buffalo . McMahon became a curate in Jamestown and Buffalo .

On March 2, 1928, Pope Pius XI appointed him . to the Bishop of Trenton. The Bishop of Buffalo, William Turner , gave him on April 26 of that year, the episcopal ordination ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Newark , Thomas Joseph Walsh , and the Bishop of Albany , Edmund Francis Gibbons .
