Jon Paul Steuer

Jon Paul Steuer (born March 27, 1984 in Escondido , California - † January 1, 2018 in Portland , Oregon ) was an American film actor in his childhood .

Life

Jon Paul Steuer is said to have got his two first names from his strict Roman Catholic parents, who took the name from Pope John Paul II .

Steuer has been in front of the camera since he was five. He became famous in 1990 with a guest appearance on Raumschiff Enterprise: The Next Century . In the episode Fatal Succession , he played the character of the Klingon boy Alexander Rozhenko . He was originally supposed to play this character in subsequent episodes, but both Jonathan Frakes and producer Gene Roddenberry thought Steuer was too inappropriate for the role. The part went to Brian Bonsall .

After leaving Star Trek , Steuer was in front of the camera until 1996. In the TV series Grace , he played Quentin Kelly from 1993 to 1996 . In 1994 he was seen in the comedy Little Giants .

In 2003, Steuer moved to Denver , Colorado . Here he co-founded the punk band Kill City Thrillers . Under the pseudonym Jonny P. Jewels and with the new band name Soda Pop Kids , the band moved to Portland, Oregon in 2005. In 2009 the band broke up.

After working as a waiter and bartender, Steuer opened a vegan restaurant in Portland, Oregon, in March 2015.

Since 2016 he has also been a member of the punk band Problems, with whom he had toured Europe until shortly before his death.

Steuer died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in Portland, Oregon on January 1, 2018, at the age of 33. After Tax's death, the restaurant was permanently closed.
