Jonathan "Jon" Van Fleet (* 1982 in New York City , New York ) is a professional American poker player who mainly plays online .

Personal

Van Fleet grew up in Texas and graduated from Texas Tech University in Lubbock with a degree in psychology . He lives in British Columbia .

Poker career

Van Fleet has been playing online since June 2006 using the nicknames apestyles ( PokerStars , Full Tilt Poker , UltimateBet , Absolute Poker and Bodog) , brotisserie chicken (GGPoker) , sordykrd ( partypoker ) and chut_up ( 888poker ) . His online tournament revenues total more than 16 million US dollars , making him one of the most successful online tournament players . The majority of this prize money was earned on the PokerStars and GGPoker platforms . In December 2017, he won the Online Millions on partypoker and received a prize of more than one million US dollars.

In 2007 Van Fleet was temporarily in third place in the PocketFives ranking, which lists the most successful online poker tournament players worldwide.

Van Fleet has also occasionally taken part in prestigious live tournaments since 2006 .

In June 2008 he was successful for the first time at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and came in the money in two tournaments of the No Limit Hold'em variant . At the Partouche Poker Tour in Cannes , Van Fleet won his first live tournament at the beginning of September 2008 and received a prize of 23,500 euros . In April 2018, he finished fourth in the high roller at partypoker Millions North America in Kahnawake, endowed with 90,000 Canadian dollars . In late August 2019, Van Fleet won the Super High Roller of the WSOP circuit in Montreal with a grand prize of 110,000 Canadian dollars.

In total, Van Fleet has earned just under 450,000 US dollars with poker in live tournaments.
