Jonas, who will be 25 years old in 2000, is a film drama by Swiss director Alain Tanner from 1976 . It was Tanner's fifth film with which the Godard pupil countered the “post-revolutionary shyness” of that time with “a draft of a concrete utopia”, according to film critic Hans-Christoph Blumenberg .

A group of eight men and women around the age of 30, all shaped by the “revolutionary” events of 1968 ( 1968 movement ) and at the same time disappointed with their results, move to a farm in the country together. Everyone feels a bond with the boy Jonas, who was born at the end of the film, as their child, who will be 25 years old in the distant year 2000. The hope rests on him that the promises of the 1968 revolt will be kept.
