Jonas Jagminas

Jonas Jagminas (born June 20, 1949 in Tytuvėnai , Kelmė district ) is a Lithuanian politician, Soviet-Lithuanian deputy prime minister, agronomist .

Life

From 1960 to 1964 he studied at the Tytuvėnai Middle School. In 1967 he graduated from the Tytuvėnai evening school for working youth. In 1972 he graduated from the Technical Center for mechanization of agriculture in Smalininkai and was engineer - mechanic . He became a tractor driver at the Raseiniai vocational school . In 1979 he graduated from the Lietuvos žemės ūkio akademija with a degree in agronomy . From 1982, he studied in postgraduate study at the Research Institute in Dotnuva . In 1990 he received his doctorate at the Research Institute for Agriculture in Belarus on the subject of "Cheminių mechaninių priemonių deriniai bulvių, rugių, vasarinių kultūrų derlingumui didinti Vakarų Lietuvoje".

He worked in Kelmė at the Tytuvėnai Melioration and Forestry Office . From 1972 to 1973 he was a senior engineer and mechanic in the "Lenino keliu" - collective farm in the Raseiniai district . From 1973 to 1975 he was head of the Keleriškiai subdivision (near Kėdainiai ) at the Research Institute for Hydrotechnology and Improvement. From 1976 to 1980 he headed the largest Lithuanian collective farm in the district of Kėdainiai . From 1980 to 1987 he was director of the pilot plant of the sovchos in Rietavas . From 1987 to 1989 he was the first secretary of the Lietuvos komunistų partija in the district of Šilalė . From 1989 to 1990 he was Deputy Prime Minister of Soviet Lithuania . From 1990 to 1992 he was general manager of Kombinat for greenhouses in Kietaviškės . From 2004 to 2012 he was a member of the Seimas , selected in the constituency of Plungė- Rietavas.

From 1973 to 1980 he was a deputy in the Kėdainiai People's Council and from 1988 to 1990 a deputy in the Soviet-Lithuanian Supreme Council, until 1990 a member of the CPSU , then of Sąjūdis in Šilalė, from 2003 of the Darbo partija .
