Jonathan Kennard

Jonathan Kennard (born June 26, 1985 in Tunbridge Wells , England ) is a British racing driver .

Career

After Kennard began his motorsport career in karting in 1998 and was active in this sport until 2000, he drove in club racing in 2001 and 2002. In 2003 he moved into the single-seater racing and was sixth in the Formula Palmer Audi . He also won the Formula Palmer Audi autumn championship. In 2004 he stayed in Formula Palmer Audi and won the championship title.

In 2005 he moved to Alan Docking Racing in the British Formula 3 Championship . He won the national standings in one race and finished the season in third place in the national class. In 2006 he stayed with Alan Docking Racing and competed in the regular championship. With a fourth place as the best result, he finished twelfth overall. In 2007 he moved to Raikkonen Robertson Racing . With one win he finished sixth in the championship.

In 2008 Kennard did not take part in any racing series. Instead, he completed aerodynamic tests for the Williams Formula 1 team in November . In 2009 Kennard switched to the International Formula Master . Since his racing team, the JVA team , had already dropped out of the series after one race, Kennard was initially without a cockpit again. In the overall standings he was 14th. He then took part in four of the six Superleague Formula weekends of the season for various teams . His best finish was fifth.

In 2010 Kennard took part in two races in the Le Mans Series and was 15th in the LMP2 classification. He also made his debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans . In 2011 he competed for DKR Engineering in a Lamborghini Murciélago for three FIA GT1 World Championship events . He was left without points. He also took part in free practice at a Formula 2 event.
