Jordan Calloway (born October 18, 1990 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American actor . He gained fame primarily through his roles in the series Unfabulous and Black Lightning

life and career

Jordan Calloway was born in Los Angeles to cinematographer Joseph W. Calloway and actress Tony Calloway. He has several siblings, including Niles Calloway, who also took on a few acting roles. He attended Maranatha High School in Pasadena , which he graduated in 2009. He played baseball while he was still in high school and then took up a degree in film production at Azusa Pacific University . He also joined the baseball sports team at university.

He took his first role in front of the camera in 2000 with a guest appearance on the series The Parkers . After he also made a guest appearance in The District - Operation in Washington , he was seen from 2004 as Zach Carter-Schwartz in one of the leading roles in the sitcom Unfabulous , which he played in all three seasons of the series. Together with the rest of the cast, he was nominated several times for ensemble performance at the Young Artist Awards . From 2005 to 2006 he played a recurring role as KJ Thibeaux in Emergency Room - Die Notaufnahme . After Unfabulous ended , he was absent from the camera for a while. It was not until 2010 that he reappeared as a performer in an appearance in The Glades . In 2013 he starred in the drama Life of a King . In addition to television films, he was subsequently seen in Switched at Birth , Gang Related , Reckless , Recovery Road and House of Lies . From 2015 to 2016 he played a small role in Beyond .

In 2017 he starred as Zane in the series Freakish . From 2017 to 2018 he starred as Chuck Clayton in the first two seasons of Riverdale in a supporting role. Since 2018 he can be seen in the series Black Lightning as Khalil Payne . Since the second season he has also been part of the main cast there. In 2019, Calloway appeared as Matt Monroe in the horror film Countdown .
