Jorge Adolfo Carlos Livieres Banks (born February 22, 1929 in Asunción ; † December 17, 2018 ibid.) Was a Paraguayan clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Encarnación .

Life

Jorge Adolfo Carlos Livieres Banks was ordained a priest on December 22, 1956 and was incardinated in the clergy of the Archdiocese of Asunción .

Paul VI appointed him on October 12, 1976 auxiliary bishop in Asunción and titular bishop of Utimmira . The Archbishop of Asunción Ismael Blas Rolón Silvero SDB donated him episcopal ordination on November 25 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Felipe Santiago Benítez Ávalos , Bishop of Villarrica , and Jorge Carlos Carreras , Bishop of San Justo .

On July 24, 1987, he was appointed Prelate of Encarnación by John Paul II . With the elevation of the territorial prelature to the diocese on April 19, 1990, he was appointed the first bishop of Encarnación.

On July 5, 2003, John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
