Johann Bockwinkel

Johann Bockwinkel SVD (born August 19, 1910 in Ellewick-Crosewick ; † July 23, 1999 ) was the prelate of Encarnación .

Life

Johann Bockwinkel joined the religious order of the Steyler Missionaries, made his profession in 1934 and was ordained a priest on October 27, 1935 .

Paul VI appointed him on May 11, 1968 as prelate of Encarnación and titular bishop of Oppidum Novum . He was ordained bishop by the Apostolic Nuncio in Paraguay , Antonio Innocenti , on June 23 of the same year; Co- consecrators were Jorge Kémérer SVD, Bishop of Posadas , and Agustín Rodríguez , Military Bishop of Paraguay .

He renounced his titular bishop's seat on November 3, 1977 in the course of the new allocation directives of the Roman Curia. On July 24, 1987, John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
