Johannes Wiesen
Johannes Wiesen SVD (born November 16, 1904 in Noswendel ; † March 1, 1972 in Völklingen ) was the prelate of Encarnación y Alto Paraná .
Life
Johannes Wiesen joined the religious order of the Steyler Missionaries and was ordained a priest on October 27, 1935 . Pius XII. appointed him on January 21, 1957 as prelate of Encarnación y Alto Paraná . The Pope appointed him titular bishop of Telmissus on February 2, 1964 .
He was ordained episcopate on March 19 of the same year by the Archbishop of Asunción , Juan José Aníbal Mena Porta ; Co- consecrators were Jorge Kémérer SVD, Bishop of Posadas , and Sinforiano Lucas Rojo OMI , Vicar Apostolic of Pilcomayo .
He attended all the sessions of the Second Vatican Council .
