Career

Ortiz started his football career at CA San Lorenzo de Almagro . For the club he made his debut on June 13, 2004 in the Primera División . In the summer of 2006 he was loaned to league rivals Arsenal de Sarandí for one season. In 2007 he returned to CA San Lorenzo de Almagro for six months before he left Argentina after a total of 98 games in the Primera División in spring 2008 and moved to Sweden for 6.7 million kroner . At AIK , where he received the number "5", he was the third Argentine in the team alongside Iván Óbolo and Lucas Valdemarín . At the club from Solna he established himself under coach Rikard Norling in the regular formation and reached fifth place with the team in the 2008 season .

Under the new coach Mikael Stahre , Ortiz was also part of the regular formation the following year. With 27 league appearances, he contributed to winning the Lennart Johansson Cup for the Swedish national champions. He was also in the starting line-up in the cup final after the end of the season and was able to celebrate the double after a 2-0 win with goals from his compatriot Óbolo and Brazilian Antônio Flávio . After another half series in Sweden, in which he got into the relegation battle with the club, the club dissolved the contract with him. He followed Óbolo to Arsenal de Sarandí.
