José Ángel Rovai

José Ángel Rovai (born October 19, 1936 in Córdoba ) is the former bishop of Villa María .

Life

José Ángel Rovai was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Córdoba on August 15, 1963 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him on August 13, 1999 auxiliary bishop in Cordoba and titular bishop of Abaradira . The Archbishop of Cordoba, Carlos José Ñáñez , consecrated him bishop on November 1st of the same year; Co- consecrators were Estanislao Esteban Karlic , Archbishop of Paraná , and José María Arancibia , Archbishop of Mendoza .

Benedict XVI. appointed him Bishop of Villa María on October 3, 2006, and he was instituted on December 3 of the same year. On February 28, 2013, the Pope accepted his age-related resignation.
