José Adalberto Jiménez Mendoza
José Adalberto Jiménez Mendoza OFMCap (born June 23, 1969 in San Plácido , Ecuador ) is an Ecuadorian Roman Catholic religious and Vicar Apostolic of Aguarico .
Life
Jose Adalberto Jiménez Mendoza joined the religious order of the Capuchin in, put on 15 August 1990, the time and on 14 August 1996 in Guayaquil , the Perpetual off. He received the sacrament of ordination on May 16, 1997 in the Cathedral of Portoviejo .
From 2008 to 2011 and from 2014 to 2017 he was Vice Minister Provincial of his Order in Ecuador. Since 2016 he has also been Vice President of the Ecuadorian Conference of Religious Congregations.
On Aug. 2, 2017 Pope appointed him Francis to the titular of Ubaba and Apostolic Vicar of Aguarico . The episcopal ordination received his his predecessor Jesús Esteban Sádaba Pérez OFMCap on October 6 of that year. Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Portoviejo , Lorenzo Voltolini Esti , and the Vicar Apostolic of Esmeraldas , Eugenio Arellano Fernández MCCJ .
