Eugenio Arellano Fernández MCCJ (born November 13, 1944 in Corella ) is Vicar Apostolic of Esmeraldas in Ecuador .

Life

Eugenio Arellano Fernández joined the order of the Comboni Missionaries and was ordained a priest on December 18, 1972 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him on June 1, 1995 Vicar Apostolic of Esmeraldas and Titular Bishop of Cellae in Proconsulari . He was ordained bishop by the Apostolic Nuncio in Ecuador , Francesco Canalini , on August 20 of the same year; Co- consecrators were José Mario Ruiz Navas , Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Portoviejo , and Olindo Natale Spagnolo Martellozzo MCCI, Auxiliary Bishop in Guayaquil .
