Odelir José Magri

Odelir José Magri MCCJ (born April 18, 1963 in Campo Erê , Santa Catarina , Brazil ) is a Brazilian religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Chapecó .

Life

Odelir José Magri joined the Order of Comboni Missionaries , made his profession on June 26, 1988 and was ordained a priest on October 18, 1992 .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him Bishop of Sobral on October 11, 2010 . The Apostolic Nuncio in Brazil , Archbishop Lorenzo Baldisseri , donated him episcopal ordination on December 12 of the same year; Co- consecrators were José Antônio Aparecido Tosi Marques , Archbishop of Fortaleza , and Aldo Gerna MCCJ, Former Bishop of São Mateus .

Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Chapecó on December 3, 2014. The inauguration took place on February 14 of the following year.
