José Luiz Gomes de Vasconcelos
José Luiz Gomes de Vasconcelos (born May 12, 1963 in Garanhuns ) is a Brazilian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Sobral .
Life
José Luiz Gomes de Vasconcelos was ordained a deacon on August 19, 1989 and the Bishop of Garanhuns , Tiago Postma , ordained him a priest on December 9, 1989 .
Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on March 21, 2012 auxiliary bishop in Fortaleza and titular bishop of Canapium . He was ordained episcopal on June 11th of the same year by the Bishop of Garanhuns, Fernando José Monteiro Guimarães CSsR ; Co- consecrators were José Antônio Aparecido Tosi Marques , Archbishop of Fortaleza, and Bernardino Marchió , Bishop of Caruaru . As a motto he chose Pasce oves meas .
On February 1st he was appointed Apostolic Administrator of the vacant Diocese of Sobral . Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Sobral on July 8, 2015.
