Tiago Postma
Tiago Postma (born August 3, 1932 in Amsterdam , † May 8, 2002 in Recife ) was a Dutch clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Garanhuns .
Life
Tiago Postma received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Haarlem on May 23, 1959 .
Pope Paul VI appointed him Bishop of Garanhuns on June 20, 1974 . The Archbishop of Olinda e Recife , Hélder Câmara , gave him episcopal ordination on December 14th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Ruy Barbosa , José Adelino Dantas , and the Bishop of Haarlem, Theodorus Zwartkruis . As a motto he chose that all are one ( Joh 17.21 EU ).
Pope John Paul II accepted his early resignation on May 15, 1995. His tomb is in Garanhuns Cathedral .
