José Amador Velasco y Peña (born April 30, 1856 in Villa Purificación , Jalisco , Mexico , † June 30, 1949 in Colima ) was Bishop of Colima .

Life

José Amador Velasco y Peña received on 12 November 1879, the sacrament of Holy Orders . Velasco y Peña was the rain of the seminary in Colima. He became a doctor of theology doctorate .

On July 30, 1903, Pope Leo XIII appointed him . to the Bishop of Colima . The Archbishop of Guadalajara , José de Jesús Ortíz y Rodríguez , gave him episcopal ordination on August 30 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of León , Leopoldo Ruiz y Flóres , and the Coadjutor Bishop of Zamora , José de Jesús Fernández y Barragán . The inauguration took place on August 31, 1903.
