José Manuel Romero Barrios
José Manuel Romero Barrios (born April 9, 1955 in Pariaguán ) is a Venezuelan clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of El Tigre .
Life
José Manuel Romero Barrios was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Barcelona on December 1, 1979 .
Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on February 2, 2012 auxiliary bishop in Barcelona and titular bishop of Materiana . The Bishop of Barcelona, César Ramón Ortega Herrera , gave him episcopal ordination on April 14th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Jorge Liberato Cardinal Urosa Savino , Archbishop of Caracas, Santiago de Venezuela , and Diego Rafael Padrón Sánchez , Archbishop of Cumaná .
Pope Francis appointed him on May 31, 2018 as the first bishop of the diocese of El Tigre , which was established on the same date .
