The Diocese of El Tigre ( Latin Dioecesis Tigrensis , Spanish diócesis de El Tigre ) is in Venezuela situated Roman Catholic diocese , based in El Tigre .

history

The Diocese of El Tigre was established on May 31, 2018 by Pope Francis from cession of territory from the Diocese of Barcelona and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Cumaná as a suffragan . The first bishop was José Manuel Romero Barrios .

The Diocese of El Tigre includes the south of the state of Anzoátegui located Municipios El Tigre , El Tigrito , Mapire , Pariaguán and Soledad .
