The Bistum Carúpano ( lat. : Dioecesis Carupaensis ) is an in Venezuela preferred Roman Catholic diocese based in Carúpano . It covers part of the state of Sucre .
history
Pope John Paul II founded the diocese on April 4, 2000 with the Apostolic Constitution Plerique sacrorum from part of the territory of the Archdiocese of Cumaná , to which it was also subordinated as a suffragan diocese.
