Josef Singer (politician)
Josef Singer (born October 10, 1888 in Türkheim , † January 26, 1980 in Munich ) was a German politician and President of the Bavarian Senate.
Singer was active in the Bavarian agricultural cooperative system from 1915. After 1945 he was General Director of the Bavarian Raiffeisen Central Banks. He headed the Bavarian goods brokerage (BayWa). Nominated by the CSU , he was president of the Bavarian Senate in 1947 and subsequently re-elected nine times, so that he held the office for 20 years until 1967.
He is buried in the Munich-Nymphenburg cemetery.
