Josef Tegeler

Josef Tegeler (born December 8, 1926 in Malbergen ; † August 19, 2013 in Georgsmarienhütte ) was a German entrepreneur and politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

After attending the Carolinum grammar school in Osnabrück , Tegeler did military service in the Air Force from 1943 and then took part in the Second World War as a soldier , from which he returned home as a severely disabled person. He then worked as a businessman in Georgsmarienhütte , since 1959 as co-owner and managing director of the Volkswagen dealership Hülsmann & Tegeler GmbH & Co. KG.

Josef Tegeler was married in 1967 and has a son.

Tegeler died on August 19, 2013 at the age of 86.

politics

Tegeler joined the CDU in 1954, was district chairman of the Junge Union from 1956 to 1959 and was elected chairman of the CDU district association Osnabrück-Land in 1959. He was a council member of the Georgsmarienhütte community, member of the district council of Osnabrück (1961–1996) and served there from March 1964 to July 1993 as district administrator . After handing over his office to his successor Manfred Hugo , Josef Tegeler was appointed honorary district administrator for the Osnabrück district due to his many years of service. Tegeler was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament from 1963 to 1974.
