Josef Wöginger

Josef Wöginger (born April 15, 1952 in Emmersdorf an der Donau , Lower Austria ) is a former Austrian politician ( ÖVP ).

Life

After attending compulsory schools and a polytechnic , Wöginger attended an agricultural vocational school in Langenlois from 1967 to 1970 . He then moved to the Higher Federal School for Alpine Agriculture in Irdning in Styria , where he obtained his Matura in 1974 . His professional career began in 1983 as an employee of the Landeshypothekenbank Niederösterreich . Wöginger was mainly active in the private sector, was project manager at Ebenseer Betonwerke from 1986 to 1988 and then until 1990 assistant to the management at Plass & Co. 1992 he founded the Wöginger Handelsagentur and ecuFinder Austria GmbH based in Amstetten .

From 1977 to 1978 Wöginger was district chairman of the Young People's Party in the Melk district . He then held the position of regional chairman of the JVP for all of Lower Austria until 1986. From December 1983 to November 1988 he sat for the ÖVP in the Federal Council . On December 31, 1983, his first day at work, he held the office of President of the Federal Council for a few hours . At 31, Wöginger is one of the youngest Federal Council chairmen.

From 1985 to 1995 member of the Wöginger was municipal council of Krummnußbaum .
