Joseph absences
Joseph Abenthung (* 1719 in Götzens ; † 1803 there ) was a builder and plasterer from Tyrol .
Life
In 1749 he married Maria Singer in Götzens, daughter of the master builder and plasterer Hans Singer and sister of the master builder Franz Singer (1724–1789). In 1770 he was added to the ark of master masons in Innsbruck.

- around 1779: Parish church of Meransen
- 1783–1788: Parish church of St. Johann in Ahrntal
- 1791–1796: Niederdorf parish church
- 1792–1796: Parish church of Ortisei in Val Gardena
His buildings are characterized by the transition between baroque and classicism . The main nave of the churches Abenthungs has the typical telescopic shape.
