Franz Singer (master builder, 1724)
Franz Singer (born January 3, 1724 in Götzens ; † April 6, 1789 ibid) was an Austrian builder and plasterer.
Life
His father was the plasterer Hans Singer (1688 – approx. 1740) and Franz Singer, like his older brother Jakob Singer (1685–1760) and his son Kassian Singer (1712–1759), was trained as a plasterer and master builder.
Franz Singer was married three times: first marriage to Maria Span, with whom he had two daughters, second marriage, since September 21, 1748 in Götzens, to Anna Kirchmayr (* approx. 1728, † 1791 in Götzens; also Kirchmayrin) , with whom he had eight children, and in third marriage to Barbara Braunegger, with whom he had nine children. His sister, Maria Singer, married the builder Joseph Abenthung in 1749 .
Contrary to the previous opinion, Klaus Aman's dissertation from the year 2002 does not assign the parish church of St. Nicholas in Grins, which is under monument protection, and the parish church of St. Magnus in Ranggen to Franz Singer.
