Joseph Anthony Pepe
Joseph Anthony Pepe (born June 18, 1942 in Philadelphia ) is an American clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic bishop of Las Vegas .
Life
Joseph Anthony Pepe was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia on May 16, 1970 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Las Vegas on April 6, 2001. The Archbishop of San Francisco , William Joseph Levada , donated him episcopal ordination on May 31 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Michael Jarboe Sheehan , Archbishop of Santa Fe , and the coadjutor of the Diocese of Dallas , Joseph Anthony Galante .
On February 28, 2018, Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation.
Joseph Pepe is Grand Officer of the Order of Knights of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem .
