Joseph Bringas

Joseph Bringas ( Middle Greek Ὶωσῆφ Βρίγγας ; † 965 in the Asekretiskloster near Nicomedia ) was a Byzantine eunuch who served as court ruler ( Parakoimomenos ) under Emperor Romanos II .

Life

The Patrikios and Praipositos Joseph Bringas was of Constantine VII. To Sakellarios and later to the fleet commander appointed. After his accession to the throne in 959, Bringas was awarded the high dignity of Paradynasteuon and protos of the Senate .
