Joseph Dao

Joseph Dao (born June 8, 1936 in Bobo-Dioulasso , Burkina Faso , † October 23, 2011 in Bamako , Mali ) was a Malian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Kayes .

Life

Joseph Dao was ordained a priest on June 26, 1965 and was incardinated in the diocese of Ségou . Pope John Paul I appointed him Bishop of Kayes on September 12, 1978 . The Archbishop of Bamako , Luc Auguste Sangaré , donated him episcopal ordination on January 27 of the next year ; Co - consecrators were Jean-Baptiste Maria Cissé , Bishop of Sikasso , and Anselme Titianma Sanon , Bishop of Bobo-Dioulasso .
