Joseph Haier
Joseph Haier (also Jiří Haier, Joseph Hayer, Joseph Hajer, Joseph Hayr; * 1816 in Vienna , † 1891 in Brno ) was an Austrian painter, draftsman and photographer of Czech descent.
From 1844 to 1845 he studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich with Clemens von Zimmermann . From 1848 to 1850 he worked in Olomouc . In 1850 he settled in Brno . Since 1864 he was engaged in photography . He stayed in Nikolsburg and had been a painter in Vienna since the 1870s . He left behind numerous portraits and genre pictures in the manner of late romanticism .
