The Noxe is a river in France that runs predominantly in the Grand Est region . It rises under the name Ru aux Pierres in the southern municipality of Le Meix-Saint-Epoing and generally drains in a south-westerly direction. In Villenauxe-la-Grande , it swings briefly to southeast and reaches the place Court Avant former shipping canal Canal Court Avant . Under this name, the Noxe covers the last section of the route and, after a total of 33 kilometers, flows into the municipality of Marnay-sur-Seine , opposite the Nogent nuclear power plant as a right tributary into the Seine . On its way, the Noxe crosses the Marne and Aube departments and forms the border to the Seine-et-Marne department in the neighboring region of Île-de-France for a few hundred meters .
