Joseph Gerard Hanefeldt (born April 25, 1958 in Creighton , Nebraska , USA ) is Bishop of Grand Island .
Life
On July 14, 1984, Joseph Hanefeldt received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Omaha .
On January 14, 2015, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Grand Island. The Archbishop of Omaha, George Joseph Lucas , donated him episcopal ordination on March 19 of the same year ; Co-consecrators were the auxiliary bishop in Saint Paul and Minneapolis , Lee Anthony Piché , and the bishop of Rapid City , Robert Dwayne Gruss .
