Joseph Johann Anton von Schade zu Antfeld was a son of Christoph Bernhard von Schade zu Antfeld († 1724, Kurkölner Privy Council, builder of the Antfeld Castle) and his wife Johanna Dorothea von Ense zu Westernkotten.

Career and work

In 1726 Schade (as a youth) received from Pope Clemens XII. received the benefice as the canon of St. Paulus Cathedral in Münster after it had become vacant due to the death of the provost Georg Wilhelm Wolff von Gudenberg . In 1733 Schade (22 years old) married Sophia Elisabeth von Weichs zu Körtlinghausen. Because of celibacy , this benefice went to the Turnar Heidenreich Adolf von Nagel zu Loburg , who then awarded it to his brother-in-law Philipp Franz von Weichs in August 1733 .
