Joseph John Oudeman

Joseph John Oudeman OFMCap (born March 2, 1942 in Breda ) is a Dutch, Roman Catholic religious and auxiliary bishop emeritus in Brisbane .

Life

Joseph John Oudeman joined the religious order of the Capuchin in and put on 7 December 1962, the profession from. He was ordained a priest on June 29, 1966, by the Bishop of Sale , Patrick Francis Lyons .

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Brisbane and titular bishop of Respecta on November 30, 2002 . The Archbishop of Brisbane, John Alexius Bathersby , ordained him episcopal on February 11 the next year ; Co- consecrators were Francesco Canalini , Apostolic Nuncio to Australia , and John Joseph Gerry , Auxiliary Bishop Emeritus in Brisbane.

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on March 28, 2017.

Joseph John Oudeman is Grand Officer of the Order of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem and coadjutor of Mark Coleridge , Grand Prior of the Order's Queensland Lieutenancy.
