Joseph Minj
Joseph Minj (born October 17, 1932 in Paikpara-Dholkobera , India ; † August 16, 2018 in Simdega ) was an Indian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Simdega .
Life
Joseph Minj was ordained a priest on July 10, 1960 . Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Simdega on May 28, 1993.
The Archbishop of Ranchi , Telesphore Placidus Toppo , ordained him episcopal on August 24th of the same year; Co- consecrators were James Anthony Toppo , Bishop of Jalpaiguri , and Charles Soreng SJ , Bishop of Daltonganj .
On February 11, 2008, Pope Benedict XVI. his resignation request submitted for reasons of age.
