Joseph Schaefler

Joseph Schaefler (born December 23, 1843 in Zettlitz , † February 27, 1891 in Ramspau ) was pastor and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Schaefler attended grammar school in Amberg until 1862 and the high schools in Amberg and Regensburg . He studied at the universities of Munich (1862–67) and Würzburg (1869–70). In 1867 he became a priest and cooperator in Abbach , in 1869 in Weiden and in 1870 in Wörth an der Donau . In 1872 he became vicar and military preacher in Regensburg and in 1874 pastor in Ramspau.

From July 1879 to 1884 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Upper Palatinate 5 (Neustadt an der Waldnaab). Schaefler did not join any parliamentary group in the Reichstag and remained an independent clerical. From 1879 to 1882 he was a member of the Bavarian Chamber of Deputies for the Kemnath constituency .
