Leyla Jerrie Josephine Zetterberg Bornebusch (born September 12, 1981 in Stockholm , Sweden ) is a Swedish actress .

Life

Josephine Bornebusch is the daughter of production designer Cecilia Bornebusch. She has four brothers, her grandfather was the film director Arne Bornebusch and her aunt is the actress Claudia Galli , who is only three years older . After graduating from school, she tried in vain to begin training as an actor. After failing, she lived in Mexico for a year. With her return to Sweden she found an engagement as an actress. She was cast in 1999 for eleven episodes of the television series Rederiet as an upper class girl Madeleine Boisse de Blaque, which also marked her breakthrough.

Bornebusch has played the leading role alongside Greg Poehler since 2014 in the Swedish-American sitcom Welcome to Sweden . She embodies the character of Emma Wiik, who moves back to Sweden with her boyfriend Bruce Evans from New York City to build a new life for herself. After ten episodes in the first season, the series was extended by the Swedish television station TV4 for a further ten episodes spanning second season.

In December 2010 Bornebusch married her long-time friend Erik Zetterberg. The couple have had a son since August 2014.
