Joshua James LeRibeus (* 2 July 1989 in Houston , Texas ) is an American American football player in the National Football League (NFL). He last played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a guard . He was previously under contract with the Washington Redskins and the New Orleans Saints .

college

LeRibeus attended Southern Methodist University and played for their team, the Mustangs, on the position of left guards college football . He played a total of 36 games, 28 times as a starter .

NFL

Washington Redskins

In the 2012 NFL Draft , he was selected by the Detroit Lions in the third round as a total of 71 players. In his rookie season he was first used in the special teams , only when Kory Lichtensteiger was injured that he was given playing time on the offensive line . In 2013 he came untrained and overweight to prepare, some injuries threw him back, which is why he was not used once in the 2013 season. In 2014 he fought his way back and for the first time in his professional career was also used as a starter. In 2015 it was also called up as a center .

He was released before the start of the 2016 season.

Philadelphia Eagles

In January 2017, LeRibeus was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles , but released again in May.

New Orleans Saints

Since Max Unger had to undergo an operation during the preparation, the Saints signed some offensive linemen during the summer of 2017, including LeRibeus, who finally made it into the team for the regular season . He was used in all games of the 2017 season. The following season was already over after 6 games due to injury.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

On June 28, 2019, he signed a contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers . Before the start of the regular season, however, he was released again.
